Give me one thing that went right, one unexpected situation, and give me one of what went wrong.
Recommendations?

Might be something in it for someone with the best analysis!!

What went right?
Vikings 9-17 on 3rd down.
Redskins 4-13.

What went wrong?
Too many stupid penalties.

Unexpected?
The huge play from Ray Edwards.

Right- Coaches stuck to their game plan and we got a W
Unexpected- We only won by 3
Wrong- TWil and all the dropped balls, penalties

Wasnt the prettiest win, but I'll definately take it.
On the road against a playoff team that several have picked to go deep in the playoffs, and some to the superbowl.

The biggest wrong was the missed PAT.
The game wouldnt have been tied late, and it wouldve given us a 4pt lead late rather than giving them a shot at tying with a FG.

Had some penalties that hurt, hopefully thats just a first game thing.

I like we stuck with the running game.
Not spectacular, but effective enough.
I wasnt expecting as much vertical.
Not saying there was a ton, just more than I thought with Childress' WC Offense.
Liked it, but dont like Johnson throwing into multiple coverage.
And Williamson's drops were pretty big.

wrong: Troy needs more reps playing catch

Right: Sticking to the run. BJ's veteran leadership was evident.
Defense did their job and showed flashes of what they will become.

Wrong: Sloppy play.
Penalties, dropped balls.

Brad Johnson is incinceable!
No major injuries
Childress benched Smith

Wrong:
TWill, my boy has got to do better than that. He was twenty fingers away from a career day.
Penalties

A good win against a good team. Definetly something positive to build on.

what went right
1. stuck to game plan and kept pounding the ball, pretty good mix to keep the defense offbalance for the pass to work. Johnson had excellent touch on the ball especially on 3rd down passing.

what went wrong

1. defense could have had some more pressure on brunnel. maybe a few more blitzes
2. that 50 yard field goal attempt, i think they should have tried to pin washington back there (we got the win but still would have done that dif)
3. costly penalties

recommendation

1. work on the penalties those hurt and need to get more pressure on qb maybe throw in a few more blitz packages.
