I have already voiced who I like Baptist and Hill.
We also need a QB but I would like us to draft Boyd in the 4th round. Very Russell WIlson like. Only knock on him is he didn't beat his rivals.

    Next make two big signings.
    1) BJ Raji. Him and Floyd should work well together.
    2) Kerry Rhodes. I don't care that he is gay. Dude can play and should be cheap.
This would allow us to trade out of the 8th and pick up another 3rd. We can select the LB from Ohio State who is a bit undersize but a true monster. We would then be able to select Brandon Coleman the WR from Rutgers as well. DE we can resign our guys.
Rhodes is gay? Not that I give a shit, but you don't think that might just be a rumor?

If he is gay, it'd be awesome if he played on special teams.

Toby Garret is our back up RB and I think they will keep him if possible. Personally I would like to see both AP and Toby in the backfield most of the time. Just that threat would open up our receivers to one on one coverage as it would keep the line backers at the line.

We need a QB and a pass defense and a way to collapse the pocket. If you watched the sea hawks they were in Mannings face all day long. IMO that is the key to defending against the passing offense. I don't care how good your secondary is, if you are giving the QB 7 seconds to make up his mind you get burned. Considering the guys we face in our division we need a big time rush.

Kevon, I agree with you on nickel back, but think that is where we spend some Free Agent money. I like Verner or Davis, both young enough to sign a 5 year deal, and possibly continue to improve their games, but also with the experience needed to understand and anticipate the plethora of underneath routes the NB deals with. Maybe they start outside but slide inside on obvious passing downs.

I don't like Raji. Look how fat and out of shape he looks here, even his face is bloated.

And, more importantly, he graded very negative on PFF: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...ior-d-linemen/

As in, 2nd worst of the whole bunch! D'oh!!

I'd rather sign Linval Joseph, if you want to stay young, or even Hatcher or Starks for maybe 3 instead of 5 years. I'd also resign K-Will if he'll play for about 3.5/year. Also, resign Everson Griffen, and draft a smaller/faster pass rush specialist...you can never have too many pass rushers or DL in general for your rotation.

Depending on how they feel about our two late round picks on OG last year, maybe we sign a vet LG too. I just think a vet upgrade on Charlie might do wonders for both Peterson and the QB's confidence (i.e. more time to look down field and find the open guy.) How about Jon Asamoah? Another young guy coming off of his first contract. Good run and pass blocking, but has played more RG than Left...

    https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...r-jon-asamoah/

    Summing it all up...
Sign a starter at NCB, DT, LG and some sort of vet QB not named Ponder.

Draft QB, CB, S, DT, DE, a late RB and probably a LB or two as well, and not necessarily in that order.

I'm not against Boyd, but the reports out of Senior Bowl were not encouraging..."inaccurate and erratic, spraying the ball all over the field," and throwing an ugly interception early in the game. I'd rather grab Mettenberger or Garappolo and then spend a 5 or 6 on Boyd if he's still there.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

    Well. That's definitely gay.

I'm surprised teams care enough about that shit to not sign him, though. Wasn't he tearing it up his last season in the league?

You may have lost track of time but it isn't almost 50 years, it is 52 years (1961-2013), I believe.

Super Bowl I was in 1967. Vikes pre-date it. They did win an NFL championship or two before SB existed.

My bad....I thought they won championships before the Super Bowl existed but I was wrong.
