weve barely beaten the poohie teams we've played and we have been worse than unlucky. in addition to our injuries to main defensive cogs, we have played sloppy.
i dont think the vikings will be hoping for luck to beat the steelers.
we struggled against the winless titans and 1-5 browns and lions played us much tougher than they should have. beating the 2 win chargers is nothing to write home about.
barely losing to "juggernauts" such as the bears or bungles is disturbing.
finally with the vikings we play an opponent who is a sb contender. this will be a good test.
it may take us being very lucky to
    win."
I swear i just gush whenever other fans speak of the vikings like this...
    Especially STEELER fans.
It's been a long time coming.
    I think we are there.

Some of these guys point out the last 2 seconds of the game as evidence we are just lucky, and not good.
I would ask, would we be that much worse of a team had we lost the game by one point?

Our team is good enough, and will beat the Steelers, providing Winfield, Harvin, and Sapp can play at a reasonable level.
If not, they may beat us.

We had two special teams players in our backfield the second half. They went after Paymah.
When the game started they were going after Griffin.

The defense was outstanding before the injuries. No drives to the red zone before stopping them. We were getting 3 and outs.

The offense was good at first, then they forgot about going to Schiancoe for awhile, and flounderd for awhile.

Came out after half time and looked great at first. But the Ravens began to figure some things out.And we tried to run clock a little early.

Childress/Bevell played for field goals by going conservative with too much time on the clock in my opinion. But I understand their thinking.
They were going to take the three sure points and turn it over to their stout defense.Just like they have for such a long time.

Problem was. The defense was not a stout defense due to injury. And Cameron had figured out how to make hay.

There is no doubt in my mind, the game wouldn't have been close if Winfield hadn't been injured.

If we are healthy against the Steelers, We will win.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

    GB is self explanatory.

I really like the breakdown and I agree with a lot of it.
These two teams do mirror each other.
I think the main advantage the Vikings have is Ben should not be able to get away with holding the ball as long as he has against other teams.
He waits to find an open WR.
If we can get to Ben, we have a good chance on winning.
Just make sure they make the tackle because he is good at escaping.

Our OL needs to really step it up. The Steelers front 7 are very good.
Favre will have to use his play action and head fakes to throw off Palomalu.
My Sup is a steeler fan, and he has been taling so much SHIT lately I really want to bomb them off the field.
I really dont like McKinnie agaist harrison.
I hope we show a lot of 2 TE sets just to help him out
    Thanks for the sig Pack93z

There is no reason we can't beat the steelers. They are a good team and so are we. They have a good D and so do we(shaky as of late but not worried). Turnovers are going to be the key to this one. If we don't turn the ball over at all I say we win. Jared better take a couple extra "wolverine on cocaine" pills this game because Ben can't have time in the pocket or out of it.

AP I believe is going to have a big game, I'm just worried a little about or DB's if Ben gets time. Favre has seen it all before and then some, he knows what to do and where to throw. It's time to punish, pillage and pound them into dust.
I bet you could use a cool one huh Clark...Now you're talkin Eddie...

the thing is Big Ben is as cool as it gets when hes in the pocket. Ive never seen a QB with such great pocket presence. It seems like the only way we can disrupt him is if we really knock him around in there and give him some hard hits. as you said, turnovers do play an important role, I just AP doesnt lose the ball for us.
