    Re: What If .....

I did the 1998 Vikings vs. the 1998 Broncos (what SHOULD have been), and the Vikes win 19-6.

    Re: What If .....

Wow! That's a really interesting site!

'85-'86 Celtics against the '99-'00 Lakers
Celtics 98 Lakers 97 (Oh yeah!!)

This one pained me, but I had to do it...

'98 Minnesota Vikings against the '98 Atlanta Falcons
    Minnesota 27 Atlanta 7

That's enough to make you sick, and sad, but mostly sick! ukeright:

    And oh...what could have been

    '98 Vikings- 33 '98 Broncos- 31
Cris Carter catches 6 balls for 88 yards and 3 TDs.

    Re: What If .....

It is pretty cool. Just for shits and grins I ran through our 2006 schedule using the 05 teams... ugly.

According to the simulation, we finished the season 3-12, including a shutout at home against Carolina. It would never happen in real life!!!

Also a little unrealistic with the field goals. We supposedly lost 4 games by last minute field goals as time expired. One was a 51 yard field goal by SF's Nedney... not a chance!

Fun to play... but I am glad it is just a simulation...

I had to go 2005 vikes vs. 2005 packers.

    We won 13-10, at Lambeau.

Burleson caught a 75 yard TD pass from Johnson for the win.

    That's sweet.

Yeah I forgot to tell everyone that there were box scores and play by play. It is kind of fun just to see if Fran and the guys could have beaten Peyton and the boys.

    Re: What If .....

that's one of the best teams of all time right there... Montana, Rice, Roger Craig, Charles Haley, John Taylor, Bill Romanowski, Matt Millen, Tom Rathman, etc... i'll do a re-match. i thought that candlestick park with heavy winds would give the 49ers an unfair advantage too... pretty crazy

edit: i checked out the play-by-play and here's how the game ended

    :03 sec.
1989 San Francisco (SAN) prepares for a FG attempt.
Cofer's 46 yd. field goal attempt is wide left.

cofer missed one at the buzzer!

    Re: What If .....

I played the 1969 Viking (best Viking D ever) against the 2005 Bears, and the Vikes won 13 to 7. Doug Brien missed 3 field goals (which sounds right) Fred Cox made 2. The Vikes had 3 INT's on Chicago.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
