98 vs. the Dirty Birds...I was 12 and it was the first time I was devastated by a football game. Last year in Arizona far behind though...

What hurt the most?
'98 Championchip game, was one of the worst days that I have ever had. I mean we were all but handed a pass to the SuperBowl and with one Kick, we let a mediocre team beat us in our own house. That was just a sad day for all Vikes fans. That was our year, or so we thought.
God Bless America, & the MINNESOTA VIKINGS!!!

The 1998-99 NFC championship loss to Atlanta definately. I mean, to not go to the Super Bowl with THAT team! It really stung and I still haven't really gotten over it.
Yeah. I was 11 when this game was on and this was the first season I ever watched. When your rookie watching season is a 15-1 season you get kinda spoiled. This along with last seasons Az game were the only two times I have ever teared (SP) up while watching. Im only 16 with alot more watching to go though.
Me and you have similar stories except i was 10 when i became a vikes fan in '98. I didn't cry after the NFC championship game but i did last year when we blew it to the cardinals.so yeah eatingpieinbed some friends of mine http://www.purevolume.com/eatingpieinbed

Had to be last December. First NFL game. THIRD ROW in the Nate Pool ENDZONE. HORRIBLE.Again, I'm not sure if this is where this belongs but what moment or game in Vikes or NFL history hurt you the most?
For me it was week 17 last year. Being from Tucson, Tempe is about an hour drive and I along with my dad (A diehard fan since '65) and my step mom went to the game. I had on my OLD SCHOOL Warren Moon jersey on, My dad in his OLD SCHOOL Alan Page long sleeve jersey and my step mom in my gold moss jersey. I had my face painted and my dad had his Helga Hair on. For most of the game I was pretty comfortable with our performance. I only got nervous when the Jerk behind my row held up a sign that read "Vikings 2003-2004 NFC North champs" and I knew he had just jinxed us. We all know what happened and lets just say as I left the stadium my face makeup was smeared because of a few tears that had fallen. :cry:Lombardis DEAD,
Favrays OLD, the Packers SUCK,
DEAL WITH IT!!!

Cajun, I just joined in Sept, but I like your style. Nice! For me, I was 24 when we lost to Faglanta! We really didn't do squat before that. You know, the good defense (wish we had one) with Kramer, Wilsuck, Gannon, Salsbury, McMahon, Moon, and Johnson! The three Super Bowl losses that I witnessed growing up as a kid in Louisiana surrounded by Pittsburgh, Oakland, Miami and Dallas fans...I still hate those four teams and those fans that I had to take sh*t from...it is funny how most of those fans now root for other teams...except those Dallas fans who are just permanent a$$holes!

After the ugly 2000 41-0 Championship loss, we did beat them 28-16 in 2001 but we got our asses kicked at home in 2002 and 2003 and I hope we will get our revenge in 2 weeks!!!But i dont think we have beaten the giants since and we have played them in every season since.0fc1de3e4ff7ffe42e40bba70cebd90c

I was really looking forward to watching a Viking, Broncos superbowl. I think over the years I've had to fix more holes in sheetrock then anything.
