I agree that that is way too quick.
But... I think that another 6 win season (or worse) won't bode well for already sagging ticket sales.
Wilf will need to do something to generate excitement again, and short of getting the stadium bill passed (which won't happen with a 6-10 season), he may elect to cut bait and try again.

I hope it doesn't happen, because I really like where Childress is going with the team, but I would understand it if it did.

Moot anyway, because I am looking forward to a winning season this year.

In all seriousness, Cowher had success at Pittsburgh because he had the stability of the ownership to stay with him in good times and bad.
Wilf needs to do the same with The Big Chill.

Remember, Chilly is a QB kind of guy. He knows his stuff at that position.

I think Chilli would have taken AP even if he didn't have confidence, because he was the best player available. If Tjack doesn't work out there are plenty of guys with experience that could take over the vikings ship next year.
