Re: What does Philly bring that could cause the Vikes problems?
The Eagles have given the Vikings a lot of trouble over the years.
They are a tough match up for us.
If this game was in Philly, we'd be the underdog.
At home, I like our chances.
The Eagles have had the same identity for a long time.
But the core of that identity is a bit passed its prime.
They're certainly not as good as the Eagle team that beat the Vikings in the 2004 playoffs.
Moreover, the Vikings are a completely different team than they were then.
The recipe for success is not hard to understand.
It is the execution that matters:
-Run the ball efficiently.
Move the chains.
-Win the turnover battle.
-Convert TDs, not FGs.
It probably is not realistic to expect that we can run the ball down their throats all game long (though I'd love to be proven wrong).
At some point, TJ is going to have to make a big play down the field.
People are high on the Eagles right now because of the way they finished the season.
I think they've become over-hyped.

Re: What does Philly bring that could cause the Vikes problems?
Six key players:
1)
Brian Dawkins - he is the heart and soul of the defense.
TJack has got to immediately locate him and attack with Shiancoe.
2)
Asante Samuel - playmaker extraordinare.
This guy makes the Eagles defense work the way Johnson wants.
He makes plays in every facet of defense...similar to Winfield, except he finds the ball in his hands much more.
3)
Trent Cole - underrated pass rusher.
Similar to Dwight Freeney but faster.
4)
Westbrook - virtually undefenseable.
He is a beast in the open field and breaks more tackles than you think.
5)
Desaun Jackson - reminds me of Anthony Carter...except faster.
The kid is a football player and will make his mark in this game, I'm afraid.
Lightning quick with breakaway speed, hits full speed in about two steps.
Has awesome punt return skills too.
6)
Turnovers - the only Team in the Playoffs with a negative TO ratio; to me, an indication of how good our Team could be.
7)
McNabb - since benched, he has been on fire.
No elements to worry about, he could light it up...alternatively, if pressured, he can stink up the Dome.
8)
TJack - first Playoff game.
He will be terrorized by Jim Johnson's blitzes; they will come early, often, and from every direction.
If he responds successfully, we win.
9)
Non-sellout crowd with thousands of Eagles fans...THE most obnoxious in all of football.
Not worried about:
Kevin Williams, Jared Allen, Antoine Winfield, Ben Leber, Hutch, Shiancoe (refreshing isn't it?), AD, CT, Kleinny, Longwell.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

If the economy is the big issue behind the lack of sales for local sports fans, how the hell can alot of Iggles fans afford the plane tickets, hotel rooms, rent a cars etc etc etc. :
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

But I like that.
We play better when we the odds are against us....Rodgers had to hold on the ball longer, giving players like Jared "I am completely insane and will literally eat your children" Allen time to sack Rodgers again. And again. And again. Actually I think Rodgers may have nightmares about Jared Allen the rest of the year.
