Should dispel all myths about who is calling the plays.BS: Are you having more fun calling plays than ever before?
DB: Yeah, I'm having fun. We have a lot of playmakers. There are a lot of guys who, in one breath, you want to give them the ball. But, in another breath, if it doesn't go to the exact guy it's designed to, it's still going to a pretty good playmaker.

Bevell comes up with a strategy
He meets with Chilly and any changes that Chilly wants to see get made.
Bevell then installs it with the offense.
Then here is what I hope happens:
Brett gets the plays in the huddle and determines which ones are worth trying and which ones suck and changes those himself to something that has a chance of working. ;D

You are correct but there are still people that call out Chilly for every little thing that goes wrong."Marrdro" wrote:

They will call him out by saying there was a stupid call here or there because it doesn't work yet when the same type of play in the same situation workds a different time it's not even looked at.

Re: 'We're doing what we need to do to win'
Good article.
DB = Bevell
There are a few more revealing comments in this article.BS: You have the NFL's best running back and the NFL's most prolific passer. Can life get any better for you?
DB: Yeah, it can get a lot better. We're just taking it a week at a time. That's what I've talked to our offense about from the beginning  not getting ahead of ourselves. Each week, regardless of who the opponent is, they're getting paid on that side. They're working hard on that side. They're coming in to beat you, and we need to make sure we take it a week at a time.
BS: And because you have the league's best running back and the league's most prolific passer, why don't you gamble more?
DB: We have a philosophy on offense and, obviously, our philosophy starts with running the football. With that philosophy, it can kind of answer the question a little bit. That's where we start. In theory, it's where all our passes would like to come off of  the run game.
