Although the regular season is five months away, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf revels in a key two-day period that is approaching.

In an extensive interview, Wilf dismissed his team's low-key approach to free agency and insisted the Vikings will build a champion through the NFL draft on April 28-29. Wilf also addressed expectations for his 2007 team and maintained his commitment to coach Brad Childress beyond the coming season.

Pioneer Press reporter Sean Jensen sat down with Wilf at Wilf's Winter Park office Thursday.

He's really clear that he's behind Childress all the way, but you'd expect that also.
