I would say the whole team. the D had big turn overs when we needed them. CT had some great 1st down plays. AD pounded the crap out of them. BB made 2 great plays. Rice had a great td catch. the secondary shut down johnson. they all get game balls

He finally stopped calling the offense like he is afraid to score points.

3rd & 15 run call? Give me a break. Bevell or Childress laid an egg on that one.
Yeah... with a 14 point lead and a D that's completely shutting down the Opponent... lets get aggressive at the end of the half on a known throwing down and risk another INT-TD... REAL smart.
Football isn't coached with your testosterone thankfully, it's coached with brains.
When you're sitting on a 14 point lead and the other team hasn't done anything on offensive, you play conservatively ESPECIALLY with less than a minute left in the half.
14-point lead at half and still slinging the ball is what people want?
Need I remind folks of the 1998 NFC Championship Game?
There's a big middle ground between being ballsy and being castrated...
Yup - and there's also a time to force the opponent to use up their timeouts and chew the clock and let your defense keep doing what they'd been doing.

How many times have we seen a 14 point lead disappear?

Punting the ball when you have given up as many TD's & yardage as our ST has on punts seems quite ballsy to me when you have the opportunity to maintain possession. The chances of an INT are far less.

Our defense played well, but two of those INT's we had were in or near the endzone after we had let them march down the field.[/quote]

That has been a major part of the defense in the Childress era.
We have both a knack to score on defense and stymie lond drives with turnovers.

In the end, this defense gets the job done.
