There were a handful of nice catches during the morning, full-pads practice.
None was prettier than a fingertip grab by rookie wide receiver Jason
Carter of a Tarvaris Jackson bomb over cornerback Tony Beckham during an
individual passing drill.
Good pass, better catch.
Cornerback Fred Smoot made a beautiful, juggling interception of a Brad
Johnson sideline pass during the 11-on-11 action.
Johnson later hit wide receiver Marcus Robinson with a deep ball behind
rookie cornerback Cedric Griffin, and tight end Richard Angulo had a
juggling catch of a J.T. O'Sullivan pass.
Wide receiver Billy McMullen and Angulo make the list by default because
of a couple of easy drops.
• Linebacker Chad Greenway is awaiting season-ending surgery to repair a
torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
• Running back Mewelde Moore did not practice because of a left knee
injury and is listed as day to day.
• Same for wide receiver Kevin Kasper (high ankle sprain) and linebacker
Marcus Lawrence (sprained knee ligament).
they said it
"I can't answer that."
Quarterback Brad Johnson, asked if the team can win without wide
receiver Koren Robinson.
