    Re:Webb Stay, TJack Out

I have been supporting TJack since he's been here... and I can no longer do it, a couple bad preseason games is one thing, but he didn't show up at all... It's a shame, it sounded like he was making progress during TC. Honestly though, I still wouldnt be happy with Sage or Tjack starting if Favre were to go down... Hopefully Webb turns out as legit as he has shown so far.

What the heck is wrong with Childress?! He needs to get over his crush on Tarvaris! The guys is simply not handling the pressure of being a NFL quarterback. We are seeing it over and over again every season since he joined the team. He has some good moments, but they are far between. Staying cool under pressure is one of the most important assets of a great quarterback and Tarvaris does not possess that.

You know, maybe this is actually a good thing. So far, every time TJ has looked good in preseason, and then mediocre at best during regular season play. This year, he looks like crap in preseason, so just maybe...

No, He just sucks. Don't try to read any more into it than that.

I said 2 years ago that you could stick a fork in Jackson because he was done. Now to be fair he wasn't done in Chilly's eye so in that respect I was wrong but I will stick by what I said before. He doesn't have what it takes to be a starting WCO QB Period.

The best thing that could happen is for the team to cut him and let Pittsburgh pick him up. I do believe he has a skill set that would be better suited to Pittsburgh's offense and if Chilly really wants him to succeed this is his best shot.

If Chilly cuts Sage and continues to stubbornly stand by Jacksons side it won't change much for me because i already lost any respect for his QB making decisions years ago.

See that mad run by Webb? His terrific coverage on his own INT saving a TD?

Never seen t-sack ever cover up on his INTs...

I have seen enough of Webb to think we need to keep him around somehow...and we need reliable backup...

Which leaves Tjack going to Oakland or somewhere.

    Why wouldn't you keep Webb???
Relax, Webb isn't going anywhere & I don't think TJ is either. I said before, Sage will be the odd man out.

I like Webb a lot, but he's not ready to step into a starting role yet.

Don't let the illusions of a good or not so good preseason football showing cloud the mind as if this is the norm.

If you do, then you should also pay heed to Favre's 2 INT, 2 fumble outing of a week ago.

Webb just hit Javon for a long TD - 63 yards.

    Keep Webb, cut TJack.

It was nice, but LOL! There wasn't a defender within 10 yards of Walker. Easy money.

Jackson would have hit Suzy Kolber on the sidelines

Webb is fun to watch, and obviously a fan favorite. But let's be a little real here. He stared down his recievers and wasn't accurate AT ALL.

I like him, I want him to be the #3 on our team. But let's not be silly about the boy's skills. He is more raw that TJack ever was (but has more potential too IMHO).

Anyone remember back to TJack's rookie year, all the love we had for him then? I don't want to make that mistake twice...
Finally a voice of realism. I like Webb too, but let's not get to far ahead of ourselves & start anointing him ready for prime time playing. He's more raw than TJ was when he started.

We've had these discussions before. How soon we forget them.

Greg Blue has a monster hit. He's immediately anointed a beast & the video plays here for weeks. Where is he now?

Tyler Thigpen. Many here thought he was our next franchise QB. Where is he now?

And then there was the WR, who caught a TD in a preseason game & people here were anointing him the second coming of Cris Carter. Can't even recall his name anymore.

A couple of preseason outings, good or bad doesn't tell the whole picture. If it did, then one should be worrying about Favre for his 2 INT, 2 fumble outting against the Seahawks
