Tough Question! Hard to say with out watching some of them play a whole real game. As of right now on your list I would say Hicks because i think Herrera is going to start. Out of all the starters I would say T-Will for obvious reasons.
He has failed to convince me in the preseason that he will be able to catch the long ball.
I think I answered the question wrong. Other teams are going to think it is TJ.

I disagree. While he may not catch the deep ball, he's gotten proficient at the short pass-n-run that chilly loves. If nothing else, he'll take a body from the Defense, b/c he's so fast, they have to have someone on him. We'll have 1,2, 3, other receivers out there (I'm counting out of the backfield too, I don't see us throwing too many hail maries) who can actually catch and cover TWill's "weakness" if you want to think that.

Protecting TJ and giving him time is MUCH more important than one receiver out there. That's why I voted Hicks, b/c we all know he's struggled and if he does, it'll be real bad for us.

T-will is a the weakest talent wise. But T-will might not even be a starter come game time. In the perfect world Ferguson and Wade start, or even Rice and Wade.

And if he is the weakest like in our starting 11, and drops a ball early, you'll bet Ferguson is on the field the next play.

    Re: Weakest Link: Offense

It's pretty difficult to answer. I think other teams will try to put heavy pressure on our QB and force him to make the plays. So I guess that means they potentially see our QB as the weakest link.

It also comes down to how you can attack an offense as an opposing D. What would you do if you think TWill is our worst player, let him get open down field, I don't think so.

Now if we agree that they want to put the pressure on the QB, what do you do. Load the weakest part of our line, with Hicks and Cook plus TE. Are they seen as the weakest overall then, or is McKinnie if someone thinks they got a good speedrusher that can move the big guy out of position, perhaps in combination with a blitzing LB.

In the end I voted for TJack, because I think other D's is going to come after him.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

    Re: Weakest Link: Offense

well.. weakest link in definition shows the worst part of a chain..

so if we wanna find where the weakest part of that chain is, lets see the main issues in this chain..

    1. Oline - from snap till the end of the play they are responsible for protecting the QB, keeping the Dline back from the ball holder (ie rb, qb) and creating spaces for the RB to run through.
Possible issues, missed assignments, penelties, unable to protect ball carrier.

    2. TJack - He is the conductor of the orchestra. If he is out of rythem, then nothing will sound correct. one miss step, or mis-judgement and bad things can happen. He has to make quick decisions on which WR to hit, check down, throw away, or tuck it and run. His pass's must be accurate, and arrive with only the WR able to catch it.

these are my two possible weak links. only the QB should be picked as a person.. as that's the only position where 1 person makes or breaks it.

We will live or die with our our o-line. Right now Johnson at right tackle might have trouble out in space. Hicks or Herrera have help. So Ryan will be tested. Might have to chip the LDE to help him.

    I would answer TWill.
But, if he continues to have drops Childress will just replace him.
    Hopefully, with Rice.
At least we finally did get a great wide receiver out of South Carolina.
I would say TJack because of his inexperience.
But, he needs protection to be successful.
So, I will go with the right side of the offensive line.
    It all starts upfront.

    Re: Weakest Link: Offense

    Why are people so negative?

We don't have Brad my arm is dead Johnson this year.

    Wade has abilities.

Rice is going to be a good receiver.

Ferguson can fill the 3rd spot if Williamson can't get the job done.

    Chester is a good back.

Peterson could be a very special he might be an elite back in a year.

Get out of the negative mode and see what happens as the season goes.
