    I like the aggressive style.
Its funny, when pats do it, it's classless, when we do it, we are being aggressive.
Count me among the folks who universally supports this kind of thing - regardless of which team is doing it.
We've seen a lot of teams come back against teams with big leads - and usually, it's because the team with the big lead gets comfortable and plays too conservatively.
They abandon the playing style that got them the lead in the first place.

I'm not saying that you need to play a hurry-up offense when you're up by 4+ scores, but I can see why Childress would go for the fake in that situation - it was a long field goal.
Sure, you should continue to run the ball, but you have to keep your eyes on the prize and finish the other team off.
    That's not classlessness.
    It's killer instinct.

I'll agree with what BBQ has stated.
Thats very much how I feel and look at the game...

I am not saying its classless either, I love it. I just want to reach out to hypocrits who said pats were classless and what not for running up the score.
    I know.
    I was just elaborating.

Like i've said, the BIG reason we went for it, is excitement for the fans.
We need to sell tickets.. make a statement and show them theres once again a reason to fork over the cash and come see the purple in person

I hate to disagree with all of you.
There is only one reason the coaching staff (not just the Chiller) made that call and it wasn't because they are trying to making a statement nor are they trying to give other teams something to think about.........

With the Wildcard race as close as it is there could be some pretty complex tie breaker scenarios.
In this case, Points come to play someplace in there.

He, just like any team in that position will try to get as many points as they can so that they have the potential to come out on top if possible.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Never thought of that. Very good point and very possible. Either way I am glad we did what we did today.

Re: Are we making a statement?

Baldinger said on air that he would not want to play this team.
we are scoring in every asset.
they say to win you need all 3 areas. well i think we have that going on.
i am not saying we are going to the super bowl, but you have to be excited for next year with the rookies that we have now.
AD, Allison, Rice, McCauley, Greenway ( in know but he didn't play last year) and TJ is still knida a rookie.
throw in another great draft and a couple of FA signings/trades (fitzgerald) you have to be excited for next year
