Thread: We Blitzed!!

Geez, I have been saying for us to blitz for some time now and Cotrell finally let the dogs loose!!. That is why there was always pressure on the QB. Maybe we were a little blitz-happy yesterday, but if Cotrell does a good job of being selective in his blitz calls and packages, our D is really going to turn it around like they did yesterday!

Oh yeah, and we now have the 5th ranked rush D in the league giving up only 95.7 yards a game. WOOOHOOO!! If we could only get the pass D up were would be right where we wanted to be.

We did do a little bit more on D last night.

Next week will be a test. We need to keep Tiki inline and put some pressure on Warner(3 fumbles yesterday)

Our Rush D has never been suspect. For some reason we have always been a good rushing D.

The way we played on sunday is the way the Pats and Eagle have been playing to get recognition. Solid D with plus turnover ratio.

If we play D the rest of the season like we played today our PROPS as a team will start lining up on every football publication and football show.

Heck the Chiefs are going to get the props and they had been written off as the worst D and left as dead on the field.

GO D-fense.

As far as the blitzes, we probably saw a lot because Volek was in the game.

Of course our rush D is going to be decent.Who is going to run on us if they can sit back and throw for 500 yards a game.

More like who is going to run the ball when they are trying to keep up or catch up with our amazing offense.

I forget who it was that wanted us to do more stunting but we did a little of that, too. Like on the play McNair got injured. Also, Winfield's pick was partly the result of Kevin WIlliams. You can see this if you watch a tape of the game, Williams presences prevents Volek from stepping up to make an accurate deep pass.
