Watching for wear and tear

Watching for wear and tear

Adrian Peterson's running style means he takes a lot of punishment. History shows that's tough on star backs.

Re: Watching for wear and tear

Thanks for the read my friend.

Couple of thoughts......

LT's woes this year are not so much cause he is wore down from so many carries, but rather, woes from his turf toe.
He will be just as effective next year when he heals that thing up.

I would have used something a bit more realistic (NFL Players Association Stats) to make my point.

The average career of an NFL back is 2.6 years and falling, according to the National Football League Players' Association. Players, coaches and historians interviewed by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review blamed the mayfly careers of rushers on the brutally high number of carries they get in an age of free agency.

Additionally, I would have added some more data related to backs of AD's caliber that lasted a heck of alot longer than the league average related to their healing prowess.
Seems to me AD has been dinged a bit in his collegiate and NFL career but seems to get back on the field each and every time.

Maybe he heals quicker?
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Points up the fact that the Vikings desperately need a passing attack to take some of the pressure off of AD.
Thank goodness for Chester or AD would surely be over used.
Remember, he's already tweaked his knee and missed time.
I hope he's around for
a good long time- most fun to watch since Smith.
