After jettisoning a total of 22 players on the NFL's final cut day, the Vikings spent Saturday evening combing through the waiver wire and considering further tweaks to their roster....

Re: Vikings work to fine-tune roster
So now that the cuts have been made, where are we lacking in depth, what is our needs & who could the Vikings be looking at besides Sorenson?

I'm going to try very hard to answer this question without complaining about the cuts. This is not the thread to talk cuts, which are now in the past. This is about future moves, and the Chili shuffle.
Obviously RB. Going in with 3 just isn't smart, even if Tahi can handle both positions. Someone like Antonio Pittman maybe?
I doubt we will find an OL at this point in time that contribute more than Johnson or Herrara. We have come this far with them so we might as well let the line grow together. I still would like to see us committ to just two guys on the right side of the line so we aren't shuffling like we did all year last year.
It's clear that Chilldress thinks we need a veteran as a fouth CB. I hope we can find somebody who will be better in that role than Whitaker.
Injuries at safety are a minor concern.

Seriously though I like the take on this.
I expect at least 3 players on the current roster as it stands to not be on the main roster come nect Sunday. One or 2 on practice squad maybe, but I see at least one OL pick up.

I've gotta disagree with you on this. I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but we NEED to sign Keydrick Vincent. He would definitely strengthen the right side of our line. This guy is a beast."singersp" wrote:

These cuts make me like Chilly even less. He has a lot to prove.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.
