Regardless of how little Rodgers has played in cold weather, you have to realize that Ponder has NEVER played in cold weather. He's from Texas, he played college in Florida, the coldest he's had to deal with was Maryland in November, which can be cold, but wasn't really at the time.

He played in Green Bay exactly one month ago... but to be fair I think it was only like 40-45, so not exactly frigid.

I was at a practice in preparation for a playoff game in the 1970's. I lived over by the U and snuck in, bringing my little brother to watch. The practice was at the U of M's memorial stadium.

Bud Grant was the coach, Chuck Foreman and Ed Marinaro were the running backs, and I think John Gilliam was one of the wide outs.

Bud used to make the team practice in the kind of environment they were going to play in.

I always suspected they didn't even have an indoor practice facility !

It will be interesting to see if Leslie's strategy works or whether the cold adversely effects the Vikings.

Favre was from Mississippi and played pretty well in cold weather, most of the time.

Personally, I think this is a bad idea and the Vikes will lose.

I'm also saying this knowing that I'm usually wrong... hoping it continues this week.
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

That's OK. Rodgers has NEVER won a playoff game at Lambeau.

Well, the Vikings should at least go outside some to get used to the temps before the game.

I feel like this would have been a 12 page thread a few years back.

Every single thing was a 12-page thread a few years back.

But this definitely would have been one.

I don't think it is a huge deal either way ... but I would prefer that we at least get outside a little bit.

I wouldn't exactly call 40-45 cold. not warm, sure, but not cold.
