14 (17) Vikings 2-0-0 Nice game for Ryan Longwell. With three FGs and one passing TD, he had a hand in all of Minnesota's 17 points.

Beating a desperate Panthers team at home is a big statement for this team. That defense is playing well, and Chester Taylor is running it well.

Vikings 14 (+1) 13/14 Brad Childress’s mustache is fabulous. Truly a thing of beauty. And so is the Vikings' offensive line. Good times in Minnesota right now. Good times, indeed. We'll see just how good the Vikes are after this Sunday's clash with the Bears.

Minnesota Vikings (2-0)
Their offense is built around Chester Taylor, who has gained 201 yards without making a cut. OK, I saw him actually elude one guy, but isn't this stretching the pound-it-out style a bit? Maybe not. Maybe this is the wave of the future. I, for one, sure like it. Makes the games go faster. Easier on my charts. Hell yes, I'm for it.

Vikings (2-0):
Julius Peppers was in the Minnesota backfield so often on Sunday that the Vikings have listed him as a fullback.
Re: Vikings Week 2 Power Rankings (multiple sources)
At the risk of sounding pessimistic, I'm going to have to say I think ranking the Vikings #4 seems a little high.
If its based off of the last two games performance, I can't comprehend how they would get that high of a ranking.
I'm not saying that the Vikings played bad, but we certainly didn't blow anybody away...
Re: Vikings Week 2 Power Rankings (multiple sources)
I, like alot of people are waiting to see what happens against 'da bears.
Things do look promising and what ever happens Sunday will only give this new D more experience.
Re: Vikings Week 2 Power Rankings (multiple sources)
even though i am a viking fan i must say that ranking us 4th overall is a bit high. The gridiron link is messed up the have the saints rated above the bengals and ravens
Re: Vikings Week 2 Power Rankings (multiple sources)
If you actually look at the page ranking us fourth, it's obvious that they have an equation that uses all those stats and comes up with a number. The number then decides the order of the ranking. Now looking at the stats they have in their chart, it's all wrong/imcomplete. So far no teams have a single rushing yard and no one's scored any point, yet they've had points allowed.....
Obviously, it's not correct.

fox sports is my favorite =) read that myself yesterday, i completely agree about childress's stach
Re: Vikings Week 2 Power Rankings (multiple sources)
Sweet, but I just can't believe the #4 ranking until we beat the Bears.
Re: Vikings Week 2 Power Rankings (multiple sources)

Vikes: 11
Bears: 6
