"Obviously, we're very successful in the run game, and that's awesome. We're going to keep leaning on that, and the passing game will develop," Ponder said.
Nothing screams development like throwing off your back foot, throwing jump passes & hitting DB's in the chest with passes while being 5 yards short of your own receivers, 24 games into your career.

Except for 2009 haven't we been hearing that same song and dance about the QB position since 2006?

I have a feeling his troubles can be traced back to the staff and a front office that has failed to put together a group of coaches who know how to develop talent and put young players in a position to be successful.

Translation... We have zero confidence in your ability to play to the level of a first round pick and we need to win games. So hand the ball off to Adrian and on a few third downs we are going to give you the easiest throws we can to hopefully move the chains a few times through the air. We'll keep our fingers crossed. We won't throw anything over 15 yards because you are 1 of your last 21 in that catagory. BUT WE THINK YOU ARE BEING EFFICIENT AND DOING WHAT WE WANT TO SEE FROM YOU .. RIGHT LESLIE?

It may not be what we'd like to see, but he is doing what he is told to do, being a good soldier. I'm disappointed in his development too, but he is seriously being held back by coaching decisions as much as by his own limitations.

He has actually been better in pressure and two-minute type situations, when he doesn't have the time to over-think things and just wings it.

You honestly think the coaching staff is holding him back?
