Re: Vikings warn fans about counterfeit tickets
If you want to be sure that you have a guinine ticket, the bast way to do it is to buy from the Vikings. The Vikings are reminding fans that the only authorized outlets for Vikings football tickets are the Vikings Ticket Office, Ticketmaster and the NFL TicketExchange. Purchasing tickets from other sources are done at the buyer's own risk and ticket selling on Mall of America Field property is illegal.
If you buy from a scalper or a reseller, you are doing so at your own risk.
I had my ticket to the Green Bay game stolen two years ago.
I went to the ticket office, and as a season ticket holder, they issued me a reprint.
At the gate I couldn't get in because the barcode on the original ticket had already been scanned.
Security brought me up to my seat, where a gentlemen was already in it.
They asked him where he got the ticket, and he said that he purchased it from a scalper outside.
He was told that you buy from scalpers at his own risk, and he had purchased a stolen ticket, asked to leave the stadium.
Even though he had a real ticket he still had to leave.
(Security was very nice about it though)
These are some of the risks you take when buying from a reseller.
The vast majority of the time, you will be fine.
But in the event that you buy a fake or stolen ticket, you are just screwed.
Personally, I agree with the policy.Zeus wrote:

Re: Vikings warn fans about counterfeit tickets
I have purchased close to, if not more than 500 pairs of tix on eBay & only once did I receive bogus tix. There are too many ways of tracking a seller's identity/location on eBay & the problem seems to be mostly associated with street sellers.
StubHub, a reputable selling source was responsible for some of those bogus tickets due to error on their part.

Re: Vikings warn fans about counterfeit tickets
I bought tickets from stubhub for the Bengals game a couple months ago, what are the odds they are fake?
Is there a way to find out if they are real or not?
Any season ticket holder want to describe what the ticket looks like?
Mine are white with some sort of picture faded into the ticket and they are shorter then tickets from years past and dont seem to feel as thick and there is no coupon of any sort on the back of it.
I have a bad feeling.
