Vikings wanting to trade down in draft
This article says that the Vikes are trying to trade their 19th pick in order to obtain more picks in the draft. What does everyone think about trading our first round pick for more lower round picks.

How many people think the Vikings will fail to get their pick in on time this year as well.

Well that could be either a good move or a bad move. Depends on how well Tice plays his cards. Onterrio Smith was drafted late 3rd round/early 4th (can't exactly remember) but that was a nice pick up. But that 19th pick would be nice to pick up a decent DE but in recent years, early picked DE have sucked and later picks showed they were better. I support any decision Tice does!
Best there is, best there was, and the best there ever will be!

Vikings wanting to trade down in draft
Onterrio Smith was drafted last year in the forth round, just 4 picks after Domanick Davis.
I hope we will have a great draft, as we had last year.
1. round: Kevin Williams
2. E.J. Henderson
3. Nate Burleson
4. Onterrio Smith
5. we hadn't a fifth rounder
6. Eddie Johnson (he sucked)
7. Keenan Howry

You know... I'm really not worried about the draft at all. Whether we get who WE want isn't really and issue. Chavous watches EVERY college games and has reams and reams of film. I'm sure he's got a list of players a mile long of who he thinks would play good for us.

Vikings wanting to trade down in draft
I think we should trade down to the latter of the first round and draft jason Babin. He was a dominating DE in the WAC last year. Had a very impressive workout and even Mel Kipper has him on his top draft board. He like williams last year is flying under the radar. If we do that we can get a few more picks and build depth. just athought

Vikings wanting to trade down in draft
The Vikings really need to draft two DE's this year and I think they should be done by the third round so no I am against trading down unless all the picks are in the second and third round.
can we clone Bud Grant?

Vikings wanting to trade down in draft
I think it would be great if they get a late first/early second rounder, and maybe am additional third or fourth rounder as well. Use the first two picks on a DE and an LB, then pick up maybe another DE and some OL. I guess the question is, what additional picks/players could they get for their first rounder?
