    But if it had worked? I'm a big fan of taking big risks for big rewards, especially when it's the last thing the defense would expect(like an onside kick after half of a superbowl). Besides the QB makes the final decision.

    Then they got lucky but it is not going to work all the time

    Aren't most of the candidates they've interviewed already or are scheduled to interview in the next few days been defensive coaches?

    These dummies are now so sensitive to the fact we have rushed to hire head coaches that they will sit back and wait for all the top notch guys to sign elsewhere.

    I agree... although i'm more worried about the guy we hires ability to sign quality staff and coordinators more than I am about the expediency in hiring a head coach...
