Re: Vikings VS Seahawks: Official Post Game Discussion

I was most looking forward to seeing our first team offense. I thought they did well so I am satisfied.

But it is preseason so I am not going to get too excited or too down.

TJack looked good so that is all that mattered tonight.
IF he continues to show this type of progress, the rest will fall into place.
    No worries tonight.

Ok relax People,First of all the 1st team d was only in for 1 series (like 6 minutes) and they were missing pat williams.I saw jared allen almost sack hassleback twice.one on a screen and anther when he put that sweet inside move on walter jones and forced hasslebeck out of the pocket.I think the d will be fine.I really liked what i saw from tjack though. If he plays like this during the season then here we come playoffs

Ok, this is driving me insane. I live in Texas and didn't see the game.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but please, someone tell me, for the love of God: Where was Adrian Peterson ????

First team offense looked good and we didn't even run the ball once with Peterson. That's enough for me to say that it was a successful game. 1st team D was rough at best. I just hate to see Farwell get hurt in a stupid preseason game. He is the heart and soul of our special teams.

Remember, it's just preseason. None of this matters whatsoever come september.

Peterson Played but they wanted to see how the passing game would perform. He was in ther blocking but never received a hand-off.

As has been mentioned, TJack was very impressive but our D...not so much.

I don't get Childress. You don't give AP any handoffs ? Isn't that like teasing the guy ? Really don't get that.

I think Childress was intentionally using this game to scout weaknesses.

    He said tonight:
"We were pretty much in zone defense, very vanilla," Childress said.

And then he said something like: "I saw a lot of things I can 'teach off'".

I just hope that at some point we stop learning and start doing.... :

Gee, I wonder what our QBs can do when the opposing defense is not playing max protect, because they know we won't run....
