Vikings rookie Adrian Peterson said he wasn't surprised by Chester Taylor's performance Sunday. Taylor finished with 164 rushing yards, caught three passes for 38 yards and scored three touchdowns......

Adrian who? It will take a lot more than one game for anyone to replace Adrian Peterson, but with the Vikings' rookie star sidelined by a knee injury, Chester Taylor did a more-than-adequate job as his replacement....

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
No one has to tell that to Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway, who did a number of good things in Sunday's 29-22 win over Oakland but still was in danger of being fitted for goat horns near the end....

In Minnesota's first game without injured back Adrian Peterson, Taylor filled in and showed the speed and resiliency he displayed last season as the Vikings' featured back. Taylor ran for 164 yards and three touchdowns Sunday, proving he's more than capable of carrying the load while Peterson is sidelined with a knee injury......

After the Vikings 29-22 win over Oakland, coach Brad Childress was pleased with how Tarvaris Jackson and Chester Taylor performed, and both players said they're happy to be back in the game....
