Re: vikings vs pats
I hope your right, but I think it will be a closer game than that.

Re: vikings vs pats
Wow.
I knew we had a better overall defense, but you have us listed as having a better overall offense too?
Didn't know that!Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Welcome, viking14!
Good stats to back up your prediction...not a guarantee that we will win...but good evidence that we CAN!!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: vikings vs pats
Yeah, the only problem is that overall offense and defense rank is based on yards and I am one of many who thinks it should be based on points scored/allowed.
In that Category the Pats are beating us:
Defense pts allowed/game: NE 13.3 (4th overall) vs MN: 15.8 (6th overall)
Offense pts scored/game (including defensive scores): NE 22.7 (10th overall) vs MN 20.0 (19th overall).
Yards don't mean anything when the 4th quarter comes to an end, it's all about points. I doubt we win this game by 2 TDs.When it s all said and done, you ll have to admit we re number 1!

Re: vikings vs pats
Surprisingly the Pats are 23rd in pass offense. I think this stat can be misleading as Brady is always dangerous and he is just getting used to his receivers. The real test for Minnesota D is the run game. The pats are ranked 6th at 131 yds/gm and we all know the Vikes have been stopping the run. I think that is where this game will be won or lost. If we can make them one dimensional like we did with the Chickens I predict a 20-16 win at home in the dome.

Re: vikings vs pats
I am excited to see how well we can contain Maroney.
The Williams' will still do a good job in the middle, but the matchup to watch will be Napo vs. Maroney. I have a feeling its gonna be up to the linebackers to keep good ol' Larry Gaptooth at bay.

Re: vikings vs pats
I see this coming down to a FG in the last minute or so, maybe 20-17 or 23-20.
Although, this really does have a chance to be a statement game for the Vikings.
If we win this one, and do so convincingly, look out!!!542cbf305f333b0554e8ffa937f852d6

Re: vikings vs pats
unless we hav a late int or fumble for a TD, the game will be close cause our offnese, though playing better, cannot blow any team out of the water.
the score will be in the 20's, one team will win by 1-4 points.
US!

Welcome14! I agree that this game looks like a good matchup statistically in favor of the Vikes.I also agree that stats can't tell you what the final score will be,either. My guess would be a Viking win,35-31,with the defense scoring and helping to setup scores. Is there a stat that shows how the Vikings compare to the Pats on scoring with defense?its going to be a good game .
the vikings off.12th in the nfl and pats are 15th.
the vikings def is 7th and pats def is 10th. vikings win 24 to 10
