Re:Vikings Vs Panthers thoughts and predictions

If we stop the run and keep Steve Smith in check there is no way we should lose this game. It seems like Delhomme is not going to play but that doesn't give us an excuse to not show up (ala our last nationally televised game) on Sunday.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Jamarca Sanford can bring to the table defensively if he gets the nod to start. Same with Brinkley. I'm not going to post a score prediction since I butchered it last time and no point in jinxing the Vikes.

    If the Packers win,
Vikings win big against Carolina. Favre 300 plus yards, Peterson over a 100.
    Vikings 38 - Carolina 14

If Packers lose, Vikings still win, but not as big.
    Vikings 23 - Carolina 20

    Panthers:
    21st Offense scoring 17.3 PPG
    4th Rushing
    28th passing

    15th Defense allowing 21.7 PPG
    6th passing
    26th rushing

    Heavy dose of Peterson.

Hey Hammer, he is baiting me again......

Don't worry my friend, I think we see TJ early in this one. Won't be much to complain about.

It is not like I a lying. We put up 30 points on the 3rd ranked D and you still complained about him.

I predict the game time temp. will be 40 degrees with light winds from the northwest at about 4mph.

    Vikings 27
    Panthers 13

    Key to victory.
Defense needs to stop the run. Safety help over the top for Smith. Don't let Peppers get started, run and screen his direction.

My prediction is too boring; so I also predict a cat will run across the field in the third quarter, the moon will turn blood red,and aliens will land in the endzone and start firing ray guns at people in the fourth quarter.

I agree with Marrdro, TJ will make an appearance earlier in the game.

After jumping out to a 17-0 lead at the half, Vikings will put Jackson for the entire second half. Jackson finishes the game with 120 yards, 1 TD, 24 rushing yards.

    Vikings 27
    Panthers 3

We are going to stuff the run, and make Matt Moore beat us. I see us getting several sacks, and the relentless pressure will allow us to force turnovers. Big day for the defense, and look for a big return from Darius, or Percy.
The offense gets a lead early, and we start feasting on a one dimensional Panther team.
    We roll 36-14.

There really is no reason why we shouldn't kick the panthers asses. 30+ points has been the norm for us this season, no reason not to expect the same for this game. The weather may keep this game more balanced offensively for us.

Just for fun, here is what some panthers fans are predicting for AP's rushing yards on the Fan2Fan site.

    http://www.carolinahuddle.com/forum/carolina-panthers/26854-predict-and-win-vikings-edition.html

Most are predicting over 100 yards, (and it's worth looking at for the *Fox* picture on page 7...)

    Panthers 12

I hope to hell we don't give up trying after a 17 point lead. But knowing our coaches, it wouldn't surprise me.
