Yep same old song and dance.
Brad this is your either year to shine or year to get fired.
You'd better get this team together.
If not, you can always go back to being a offensive coordinator.

I'm telling you... the playcalling in the first half is what killed us.

Childress and Bevell... It's the same every year, can't beat the Packers.

I hate to say it but I am so fed up with Childress after this game. And his obsession with Tarvaris, and at this point that is all I can see it as, is just strange. If Mike McCarthy was coaching the Vikings with the same talent we would have 2 things: a better quarterback playing now, and a win yesterday against the Packers.

Re: Vikings vs. Packers post-game articles

It's absolutely true - after one year, it might be the players fault for the bizarre results on the field (great run D, great run game / horrible pass D, horrible pass game).
Two years, OK, maybe Childress still doesn't have the right players.
Two drafts, a legendary running back, and $80 MILLION later, this Franchise NEEDS to expect better results on the field.
Wilf did not hand Childress an open checkbook for us to look like damned chumps on Monday night football.

Yes, the game was close all the way to the end, etc. etc. etc.
But there have been Vikings ulta-faithful saying that since 2 years ago!
    New team slogan:
    [MINNESOTA VIKINGS:
    We're Keepin' It Close!]
You could tell while watching the game, we never really seemed to control the game whatsoever.
We were constantly being pushed around and trying to catch up from down a score or two.

We have more talent than gol 'darnit near any other team in the league (maybe Dallas).
The proof is in the number of ProBowlers we send.
There is waaaaay too much talent to NEVER beat the Packers again.
McCarthy is 5x the coach Childress dreams about being while lulling and daydreaming on the sidelines during the game.

Agreed... Childress is an awful coach. He might be a great evaluator of talent, but he can't coach in the NFL.

Just look at his Resume... he's never had any HC experience at any level, even High School.

He wasn't allowed to call the plays in Philly, because he's a hack.

This will be Childress' last year.

Their was an article that had Petersons comments. Don't know if I missed it but he said I am sick of losing to the Packers. Me too Adrian, me too.

Childress and Bevell... It's the same every year, can't beat the Packers.
When I left the game on Monday Night I was completely on the same page as you...

    HOWEVER,

I've watched the game 3 times now and every time I'm even more convinced that the offense wasn't the main problem.
ST and non-calls were what killed us.

Well, I actually have thought about it more too...

While, it wasn't play calling, it was still largely Childress' fault in my opinion.

While on the goal line, we gave up a 12-men-on-the-field penalty... and later in the game, Tarvaris was forced to use an early time out because of personnel issues.

He just doesn't seem to have it put together, and I almost doubt he ever will.

Twelve men on the field for Defense is NOT Childress' fault.
It's the fault of whatever idiot player who wasn't supposed to be out there.

And since Childress does not call the plays, if there was a delay in getting it in, then that lies on the shoulders of the OC and the offensive coaches getting the players in - unless some idiot player failed to here the formation call and make it into the game on time.

Soon you'll be telling us all that it was Brad Childress who was the 2nd shooter on the grassy knoll.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Nah, Childress simply can't get his staff on the same page.

You can point all the fingers you want, or make conspiracy theorist jokes, but you're simply dancing around the issue.
