If we stumble out of the gate at 0-4, we might need to look at skipping MC and going straight to MBT.

Fortunately, the Steelers look terrible...and they're on our schedule.

0-4? That means we lose to Weeden and the Browns at home. Heck if that happens we might as well clean house and start rebuilding again.

It's not as if that's impossible, to be honest. The Browns actually have some talent, and we don't exactly light up the scoreboard.

Either AD is wrong & he really does need a good FB like Felton to run behind or the Lions watched the tape & copied how the Packers figured out how to slow AD down in the playoff game. Other than his 1st run, he only gained 15 yards on 17 carries.

Ponder is who I said he was. Getting a crisp route running, great hands WR like Jennings, didn't improve his game. He's lucky to have only thrown 3 INT's. He's on pace to throw 48 INT's this year.

He is not the answer. He is just not an accurate passer unless it's under 10 yards. If he plays better in the next 3 games (which shouldn't be hard) IMO he'll only regress once again mid season.

Play him 4 games, that should seal his fate. Then put Cassel & MBT in for 6 games each so we can decide how many QB's we need to acquire in the offseason.

And it's a home game for us too. That's important because Ponder doesn't win a lot once you get him a few hundred miles from the dome.

    Oh wait!

Wait ... Ponder is accurate when it's under 10 yards? Then what's this?

They benched Jackson after a 73.3 QB rating performance against the Colts in 2008. Ponder's rating was 63.1 today.

yep. And that was the correct call then and the team went on to play much better after he was benched and it would be the right call for Ponder to be benched after this game too.

And Jackson's QB rating would have been better had Shaincoe not dropped a sure TD that hit him in the numbers...

Whatever though, I blame our scouting staff and offensive coaches. It's just pathetic.

Feel bad for Peterson, just wasting his career for a bunch of moron coaches.
