I think you have the score about right, Giants might win by as many as 17.
Tarvaris is simply not ready to guide a team to a win or even close against a good team like the Giants.

The QB is the most important player on any team and we simply do not have one.
Some of you guys on this site are funny.
I remember Chargers game, everyone was "OH NOES!!!11!!!"
"The most talented team, and we are the lowly Vikings, we will be beat handily!"

I haven't met a greater bunch of doubters like you guys, seriously.

    "Anything can happen on Sunday"...
    everyone's heard that before.
Well, it's true to a point.
When you have a very talented, tough defense and the best running game in the NFL, THAT'S when it rings true.

With a talented Defense, and ball/time control running game, it's not only possible, but likely.
Shut down Giants running game, and put pressure on Eli... I put the score 17 - 10, vikes.
    2 pics of Eli...
    180 yards rushing for Minny.
Any real production from the passing attack will snowball that score.
You know, I just noticed your title.
How did you get that one?

Anyway, I guess you don't read my stuff.
Maybe you are one of the guys who has me ignored.
    ;D
    LOL..
Someone from here gave me that when i was talking about Roy Williams shutting down AD to under 80 yards (which he did).
Then all of a sudden i was the pud pounder.
Kinda liked it, so it stuck.

Na, i read all of your posts, but i can't remember what your stance was on the Chargers per game.

And Eli Manning isn't much better. Only difference is he's throwing to Amani Toomer, Jeremy Shockey and Plexico Burress.

You never know what Eli will show up.......

Amani Toomer still plays with alot of heart and his hands are sure, but he has lost a step in his hop....

Jeremy Shockey could very well be one of our biggest issue's to contend with Sunday...

Burress has been nursing a bad ankle, and he made a statement the other day, it's getting worse for him, not better......

They will be without Jacobs their starting RB and also their #1 tackler at the LB position....( Don't know how to spell his name)
    begins with a K....

He's out with a broken hand.

    There Offense is hurting.

But we have a list of dinged up players ourself.....

I think we can win this game myself.

I'm with you on this one.

It seems, as I've been watching a few Giants games, that Burress and Manning can't get their timing right. Not sure which one it's on (I'm guessing Eli) but it's definitely not as threatening
    as it should be.

I'm actually glad Jacobs is out... this guy is a tank. This should at least give us a slight advantage in the run game.

Burress has been hurt for about a month now, maybe longer, and like I said, he made a statement that it's been getting worse ( his ankle ) not better.
Probably a good reason they haven't clicked lately...

And if you look at the history of the matchup, I believe we have won more games than we have lost while playing in NY against the Giansts.....And even back to the Yale Bowl if you wanna dig that deep...

I've driven home from MN VS NY games with more smiles than I have frowns......That I know for sure...

I"m starting to smell a Viking Victory...

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

    b.
Merriman, now that he is off the juice would be a non factor.

Re: Vikings vs. Giants game predictions

    My heart says:

    Vikings 17

    Giants 14

But my head says the Giants won't fear our passing attack, and stack 8-9 in the box.
The only chance we have is if the coaching staff can come up with an unexpected game plan to spread out the defense... for instance putting Tarvaris in the shotgun along side a back, with three wide, occasionally sending Chester or Mewelde wide just to keep them honest.
Of course we can still run out of that formation, but Tarvaris needs extra time, and having him in the shotgun just might be the ticket.
He's athletic enough too where he should be able to roll out from there... (of course this is all a hypothetical example of what I personally would do, and I'm no coach, so don't tear into it, lol).

Realistically, we need Eli to have a bad day, which no QB has against us, not even Daunte.
Since they're on their 3rd string RB we need a big day from the D-Line to pressure and contain and a big day from our safeties... We have to take advantage of the Giants mistakes, with no dropped picks.

Go back and look at the football pool here on PPO.
    I pickem every weekend.

Wasn't to far off when it comes to winning and loosing with the exception of the last GB game and we were leading at the half against Dallas.

    Blind homerism I guess.
