Re: VIKINGS vs EAGLES OFFICIAL POSTGAME DISCUSSION

Webb looked very good. What it says to me is maybe we don't need to draft a QB. I'm still not ready to hand over the reigns though. He still needs more practice/experience behind a veteran. It puts the team in a sticky situation.

Joe Webb looked confident and poised. Something TJ was not in his early years. I want to see more of this kid. We might have something here. TJ never won a game as a rookie. This kid did it in PHILLY!

Can't have those missed INTs but I thought they played pretty well in the secondary.

Nice job but it means nothing and now we drop in the draft.
IMO I don't believe TJ has ever looked that confident and poised.

Great win tonight against a good team. Heres hoping that Webb plays outstanding next week!

That's what I was thinking the whole game..

If Joe Webb is the future, the trade off is obviously worth it. If he's not, falling in the draft is awful since there's already enough teams for sure ahead of us that need quarterbacks.

Considering the Vikings bad luck, the wrong thing will happen lol

    It means nothing? Really?

Surely it means we have found both our QB of the future and head coach in one fell swoop.

A few hours ago I would say the Vikings future is bleak.

Now I see a bright future.

Childress would have never had a game plan like this. And even Marrdro has to acknowledge the great defensive game plan.
Just think how dominant this team would have been if anyone in the defesive backfield could catch a ball.

BTW Madiew Williams was inactive for this game.

But I have to say, we have found our head coach and any assistant coaches he wants to keep.
And we no longer need to worry about drafting a QB. Get a cheap free agent veteran as a back up and we are golden.
Wow. We have a promising future.
    What a night.
Slow your roll doc. I still think we need to keep an eye on the draft. We would be foolish to pass up on Newton, Locker, Mallet, or Gabbert. I want to see more of Webb before we write off the draft.

No way in hell we can come to that conclusion.

Re: VIKINGS vs EAGLES OFFICIAL POSTGAME DISCUSSION

Where has THIS team been all season?

Line gave great protection...even McKinnie. I didn't expect taht versus this Eagles defense.

    Peterson is still Peterson.

    Harvin had some amazing catches.

Winfield was eating Vick's lunch the entire first half. His TD started the ball rolling for us.

Allen and the D-Line finally got motivated.

    The secondary played incredibly well.

I'm still not sold on Frazier ONLY because I'm afraid it will keep Wilf's fingers in the mix - something I want to avoid.

Webb....Webb looked today like Jackson SHOULD have looked this season. He was poised, accurate, in control, and MADE PLAYS, not excuses. That said, what will next week bring? I don't know. But Joe Webb just flashed more potential than Jackson EVER did.

Webb was very calm in the pocket with a blitz coming he threw a great strike to Harvin.

That is just plain dumb. I don't think Favre will though. He will listen to Mooch.
