the bear defense is pain. they play so hard. this will not be an easy game no matter what you might think. we have to score first and force them to pass.

Urlacher isn't what he used to be, but I still think it would be pretty hard to take him totally out of the game. He's still gonna get his tackles. You could definately minimize any big plays from him tho.

He single handily beat us one game last year.

He was hurt, he comes back for our game, and then is hurt the rest of the year.

He was all over the field, like a man possessed. He had tackles up the butt, an interception and sacks.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

When did we win our last road game? I can't remember. If we were at home I think we win. On the road who knows.

Was that an attempt to make everyone happy? The answer is Lambeau, beating the Pack in the playoffs! Thank you, I needed that.

We tend to have trouble beating the Bears in Chicago. They are not going to score a lot of points on us, unless we turn the ball over too much. Protect the ball and we beat the Bears in a low scoring game.

Yeah right. The Bears own the Vikings at Soldier Field. They've beaten us how many years in a row up there? Vikings at Bears is typically one of the most depressing games for me to watch. In past years, we WERE the better team almost every year, but they would beat us down, slow the game down, and rough us up. They would make the game about toughness and grit, not about talent and speed. The Vikings will not blow out the Bears and the Vikings do not win close games. Do the math. I predict a very boring, hard nosed, close game. Then, mid fourth quarter, Daunte will fumble or throw an interception that will lead to a Bear lead and eventual victory.

I absolutely hate those games where the other team eats up the game clock by brusing up our players and extending their drives because we can't stop them on third and short, medium, or long. Then our offense never gets on the field and we lose it at the end. It is such a hopeless feeling. That's what always happens against the Bears, and there's no reason to believe it won't happen again. And what's worse, it's very tough at this point in time to call the Vikings a BETTER team.

If the Vikings win, it will be because of a clutch play at the end.

The Chicago Bears are a good football team that can come on the verge of being great by the way lovie smith has been coaching the team. They easily have a chance of beating us and no way should we take this team for granted. What concerns me the most is their D line and if Atlanta got 9 sacks on Culp, Chicago definitely can with the talent they have.

Here are my suggestions to win the game
    1. Run The ball with Bennet and Moore
    2. Screens to Benett, More and Wiggins
    3. Keep Kleinsasser in to block on 90 percent of the plays-he can take urlacher out of the game
    4. Put Melvin Fowler in for Withrow- Withrow's crap
    5. Get all of our wr's in the game and get Williamson and Koren Robinson to run vertical seams while Taylor Burleson and Robinson, the better possesion receivers can find holes in the cover 2 zone and get gains that way.
    6. CULPEPPER MUST PROTECT THE BALL- Lovie has installed a great system on defense and what the Bears specialize at is group tackling and when one man holds the ball carrier while others try to strip it. Whoever has the ball, PROTECT it and if theres no chance for extra yardage, be safe and dont risk it.
    7. Get Daunte In a sugar huddle or 2 minute offense alot
    8. Blitz alot on Defense. Give Orton hell all game long. Get In Erasmus alot to keep the Bears O line honest.

And on Kickoff, make sure Azumah is contained on all runs. He is very dangerous.

Overall, I beleive that both teams have an equal chance of winning this game.

I beleive a final score of Vikings 20 Bears 13
Good assessment...but we also must stop the run, something we haven't done yet. The Bears can run...and if they don't have to rely on a passing game, we're in for a long day.

How many turnovers will Culpepper have?

This is the key. If Culpepper turns the ball over more than Orton....he should be benched.

I think Todd Bauman is a free agent at the end of the year.......wanna bet Miami picks him up?

Heh heh heh Maybe I should have said regular season game. I think for us to win in Chicago we have to score first and early in the game. It will be interesting to see if the bye week produces any results in terms of game prep and attitude. We usually get beat up in Chicago the last few years. Our guys better come out swinging or its going to be a long day.

I think to win any game we need to score early and often. I think that the way we have played in Chicago, it will kill us if we get down early. D.C. has never been a good quarterback when trailing and he is definitely getting antsy when down early this season, only making things worse.
I do think we win this game after ther bye, but I will make a much better evaluation following this week's Bears game.
