Re: Vikings: Two starters lost? Birk and others quiet about injuries

This is the main reason I hate losses. For some reason it FEELS like you come out with a LOT more injuries in a game you lose than one you win. Remember the Lions players falling like flies in the first meeting?

I hope Napo and KW will be able to get back soon. Napo finally found a place on this team and KW was starting show his form from before injury last year.
    Halo 4. Start another fight.

Dislocated wrist will keep Harris out
    Friday, November 3rd, 2006
    by Judd Zulgad

Vikings coach Brad Childress said middle linebacker Napoleon Harris will not play Sunday at San Francisco. Harris suffered a dislocated left wrist in Monday’s loss to New England. Dontarrious Thomas will start in Harris’ place. Childress also said wide receiver Marcus Robinson (lower back) will miss a second consecutive game. The Vikings coach did not put a timetable on the return of either player.

Harris, Robinson not on the field
    Friday, November 3rd, 2006
    by Judd Zulgad

For a third consecutive day, linebacker Napoleon Harris (dislocated wrist) and receiver Marcus Robinson (lower back) did not come out for the start of practice. The media access period ends after special teams work and as the entire roster is taking the field. Everyone else was accounted for as stretching was about to begin.

Harris almost certainly will remain listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday but the only question now is how many games will he miss? The impressive thing is Harris continued to play hurt on Monday night against New England. If you go back and watch the game, you can see that his wrist is taped up and at times it looks as if his left arm is just hanging there as he tried to make plays with his right arm.

Wow. Harris is stud. You gotta apreciate the sheer pride it takes to play through that.

Pride and guts.Eveything I've read about "dislocated wrist" makes it sound like it would be wise to leave him out for several weeks. That thing has to hurt REALLY BAD!
