Vikings turn down Hard Knocks
Anyone wish we'd get hard knocks taping our training camp? Miami got it this year....apparently hbo is having trouble getting teams to sign on.

We're not going to win many games this year, so we may as well get some entertainment out of the pre-season.
Selfishly, I wish we accepted, but I understand the decision not to.

Miami can take it. They need to do all they can to rally that fan base. Not that I wouldn't religiously watch the Vikings on it. Too much of a distraction though..

The Vikings declined the offer a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldn't normally want the Vikings to do the show most years, but this season would have been about as good a time as you could ask for. Expectations are still rather low, but there is a good amount of young talent coming in and a few good stories to be told. Plus, there is Jared Allen. He makes any show compelling all by himself.

I also heard that Jacksonville was practically begging to do it, but HBO pretty much ignored them.
