Vikings trade Jayme Mitchell
According to Schefter on Twitter:
Adam Schefter - Vikings traded DE Jayme Mitchell to Cleveland for a late-round 2012 pick.

I thought he would step in for Edwards if he's gone next year.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

Even tho he is hurt I think he will be a good player.. Basing that off of virtually nothing

Mel Kiper had him ranked as the 4th best player left in the draft when we took Gerhart. Take it for what it is, because it is Kiper. I think we all know how much of an idiot he can be.VikingMike wrote:

Re: Vikings trade Jayme Mitchell
I'm not sure why they make this move. While he's not a starter he was in the rotation and even had a sack against the Saints(one of only 4 sacks by the Vikings).
Though now that I look it shows that he wasn't active for the Lions game. Are they just trading him to open up a roster spot for another reciever?
Anyhow best of luck to him in cleveland.

Re: Vikings trade Jayme Mitchell
My only issue here is a late 2012 pick???????
That doesnt seem like enough especially when you consider that we may not even have a 2011 season.

I agree. We need a WR and yet we essentially get nothing in this trade. Brilliant. My only issue here is a late 2012 pick???????
