Re: Vikings | Team expected to remain active

I think we might bring in a corner.. And call this ironic but I do think the best available corner would be Dexter Wynn of the Philadelphia Eagles!!

That would be hilarious if we brought him in

Re: Vikings | Team expected to remain active

    Active indeed...

    Roster moves 9/3/06...

-They were awarded defensive back Rashad Baker on waivers from Buffalo. Baker has started three games in the past two seasons for the Bills, all at safety.

-They also were awarded running back Artose Pinner, who spent the past three years with Detroit and was the Lions’ second-leading rusher last season.

-To make room for Baker and Pinner, the Vikings waived receiver Jason Carter and running back Wendell Mathis, both undrafted rookies. If they pass through waivers, both players could be candidates to join the practice squad because …

-The team named only five players to its 8-man practice squad. They are:

    TE Richard Angulo
    CB Charles Gordon
    WR Martin Nance
    T Donald Penn
    DE Khreem Smith

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/transactions

I'm glad Angulo and Gordon made it to the practice squad.

I really don't agree with that, I mean what the hell.

hell of a gamble to take, Carter has been a surprise this off season and I'd hate to lose him now via waivers... we shall see

Re: Vikings | Team expected to remain active

I guess Baker is our answer to replace Devonte Edwards and we do need depth at corner I just hope we can get Carter on the practice squad intact. As for Pinner he is more experienced then Mathis and maybe he can spill the beans to us about what the Lions new staff has implemented.
