Vikings: Taylor Made
NFL: VIKINGS: TAYLOR MADE
An important part of the Vikings aggressive binge in free agency this off-season was the signing of running back Chester Taylor. Having lost Michael Bennett via free agency, the signing of Taylor adds another back to an already crowded stable of runners. Mewelde Moore and Ciatrick Fason both return from last season, and all three backs will compete for the starting job in 2006.

Re: Vikings: Taylor Made
Taylor was a good pickup; not too expensive, lots of upside potential, may be a good fit for the west coast.
But is he 'the guy'?c36083684f6cb51c68ec9ce28f2be935

What about B. Johnson?
or Childress?
Are either of them "the guy"? there are just so many questions surrounding our team this year, and I can't wait to get them answered.

Re: Vikings: Taylor Made
I think Taylor should be a big time contributor on offense this season.

I should have stated my point clearer I think he will be a contributor this season and I see about 1,100 yds and 6-7 TDs for him with about 10-20 receptions and I would be happy with that."DarrinNelsonguy" wrote:

Re: Vikings: Taylor Made
I'd say more than 10-20 receptions.. Especially as BJ used a lot of his check-down receivers last year (that usually began and ended with short hitches or quick outs to Wiggins). While Tice got annoyed by that, Childress will encourage it, so I expect to see Taylor have the ball thrown to him about 40-50 times this season.

That would be great if we got that many yards out of him. With the left side of the o-line we have now & the addition of fullbacks, I think we're going to see a much improved rushing team this year."singersp" wrote:

Re: Vikings: Taylor Made
nobody thought larry johnson was "the guy" until he got his shot to play week in, week out..so we will just have to wait and see how this guy performs when the season opens..hes either going to be among the league's best, or hes going to completely stink it up
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.
