Hmmm, another smokescreen? Or legit possibility!?? I could see something like this happening, but it would likely be dependent on how the 7 picks before ours unfold. IF Johnny F'n Football is still there for our pick, do we swap with the Rams so they can get a new young QB while also getting a guy with potential ourselves!??

What is Bradford's worth right now...coming off of ACL surgery and not having any great seasons of play on his resume...? Certainly he is no longer worth a first round pick knowing what we know now, wouldn't you say...

I think we might be able to have him for moving back from 8 to 13, with perhaps, a third this year thrown in and a sliding pick next year depending on how many games he starts and/or we win over the course of the season...for example, we give them next year's 2nd IF he starts an entire season and we win 10 games!?! Or a third if we see one of those, or a 4th if neither happens.

I know, there will be some naysayers who cry "injury prone," but I have to think he's had a bit of bad luck with the rest of that offense around him, with their early picks on OTs continually injured and out and leading to lots of sacks. The Rams WRs have also been questionable for years...maybe, behind our line and with the likes of Jennings, Patterson, Peterson and Rudolf helping him out, he can still be that franchise QB they thought they were getting in 2010. And, as far as project QBs go, he's got a head start on anybody coming out this year!

Pretty sure Peterson played one year with him at OU...might make him happier too...

I would have NO PROBLEM with trading for Sam Bradford. I would imagine we could get him for a 13/8 swap in the first round ... and maybe something else small ... a pick next year based on his performance/durability. I don't even think we would have to give up another pick this year, honestly.

All this would be contingent on renegotiating his contract though to make him a lot more cap friendly.

    Have you seen his contract?
I know we aren't responsible for signing bonuses but that still puts him at about 9 million a year.

    Vikings Talked Bradford Trade

That would be a dumb trade, y trade for a former first round pick QB who is damn near a bust, he remind me of ponder tha vikings need to just draft a QB and sit him behind cassel for a year and it's nice QB's u could get outside of rd 1 like mccarron, boyd, thomas and they could always draft a QB nxt year if they not sold on tha one they drafted

If Bradford was that good, the Rams wouldn't trade him.

Did you even read my post? I obviously commented on the contract.

This is a decent point, but it is not always the case that good players don't get traded. Jay Cutler is a more than serviceable QB and he was traded.

Sometimes, management falls in love with a younger player (Broncos with Tebow, Chargers with Rivers, maybe the Rams with Manziel) and it pushes out a perfectly good front end guy.

Not saying that it would be great ... but definitely worth discussion and would be an upgrade to Cassel/Ponder. I would not give up a bounty or anything ... and the contract would HAVE to be reworked, but still could work.
