Vikings Tailgating!

I just happened to check Vikings.com and they have come up with tailgating options for the upcoming season!
Note the following information directly from the website.

BACK DOWNTOWN

The Vikings are very excited to announce that we are bringing tailgating back to Vikings fans! Beginning on September 9 at the home opener vs. the Atlanta Falcons, Vikings fans will have a new opportunity to enjoy Vikings game day just a chip shot field goal from the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis.

The Vikings Purple and Gold tailgate lots will return tailgating to its proper place, at the doorstep of the Metrodome (see map below). Along with many tailgating amenities, visits from the Vikings cheerleaders, the Vikings Street Team and other special guests will truly make your tailgating experience second to none. At $280 per space for the entire regular season, you will receive parking in close proximity to the Metrodome along with all of the Vikings tailgating amenities including:

easily accessible restrooms
garbage cans
a secured lot and charcoal bins for easy cleanup

There are a limited number of spaces available, so please act immediately! Season passes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Day of game parking, if available will be $40 per space.

I can't believe they waited this long to give the fans some answers.
Oh well, at least we have a place to go now.

I heard that they were trying to do this earlier.
I assume they were waiting on the permits and other arrangements from the city.
I assume they had to work some traffic enforcement in there, maybe even close off another road or two.

I actually like those lots.
Not a LOT of room, but much closer to the dome! Gold 1 and 2 look to have about 175-200 spots each, and the purple lots are about 100-125.
Gold 1 is the only one that can have RVs, and you must purchase 2 spots.

Those are the lots that Zygi purchased over the past couple months, aren't they?

Now - how do we go about getting PPO a season pass?
I'm going to park where I park (off of 5th Avenue, the surface lot with the huge billboard in it) for my ease of going home after the game, but I want to make sure there's a spot to take my Grain Belt once I get there!
