The Minnesota Vikings have released OL Steve Edwards and signed LB Marquis Cooper. Cooper is a 3rd-year veteran who played in Tampa Bay. He was a 3rd-round pick out of Washington in 2004 and has excelled on special teams where he has 27 career tackles. The team also added rookie DE Jayme Mitchell to the practice squad

My guess is Jason Glenn .. but i dont know

EDIT: LOL I misread it.. We already cut Edwards.. wonder why we just signed him..

No, as it says we released Edwards again. That was a short visit for him.

lmao, we released the OL that we picked up yesterday.

So, pretty much that was just a waste of money.

Offensive lineman Steve Edwards must have set a record for fewest hours as a Viking. The team released him today – ONE day after signing him – to make room for free agent linebacker Marquis Cooper.

Cooper spent the past two seasons with Tampa Bay, where current Vikings defensive coordinator Mike Tomlin was the defensive backs coach. We’ll let you know if he makes to practice tomorrow.

In another move, defensive end Jayme Mitchell passed through waivers and was signed to the practice squad.

But you had no links and it's from a different media source.
That's what happens here, a story breaks and the media-take/discussions follow.

Good signing, he did well for Tampa.He is infact pretty solid on special teams and he will help us out depth wise.He knows the system, and I think the only reason Tampa bay got rid of him is becuz they got alot more younger LB's in there, playing for less money.And thier on the same skill level, so they dumped him.

What the hell did Edwards do to get cut that fast, Show up with a Philly Sux T-shirt on ?
