    Re: Vikings sign Fred Evans

FOXSports.com has learned that Evans, whose two offseason arrests led to his release by the Miami Dolphins in late June, will sign a free-agent contract with the Vikings.
This sounds out of character for Childress. Back up to Williams, huh?

Happens with every team. They sign players who might seem like a long shot just to see if they have anything.

    This is BS.

after he was arrested in June following a tussle with Miami Beach police, which were forced to use a Taser to subdue him.
    Out of character?
How about all out hypocrisy from this whole damn administration.
I personally can overlook the possession charge although that is already hypocrisy but this is BS.

Dolphins DT Evans gets Tasered, arrested

One officer was allegedly bitten on the wrist and a female officer sustained scrapes on her left knee, police said.
"We will not condone this type of behavior," Cameron said. "I assure everyone it will be dealt with seriously."
    Fucking BS.
Wasn't his backup Howard Green performing well anyways.

I guess at least CCtheBest can't be mad that we aren't acquiring low lifes now.

I'm not ready to jump Childress for this yet.
Remember, Spielman came to us most recently from Miami.
Regardless, and at a minimum, it certainly appears to be hypocritical of the Organization.

I kinda like the move actually. But what i dont like is we dont have a veteran QB on our team we need to get freakin Kelly Holcomb or Aaron Brooks. If T-Jack gets hurt we are screwed. Also another O Lineman...im not very confident in Ryan Cook

Oh, ouch, you didn't actually mention Aaron Brooks did you?
That would be three amazing steps backwards IMO.

They can watch him on the practice squad and see if he has character issues or if it was a one time deal,
    second chances.

    Probably not worth the time?

If there are any character issues that they see, the guy won't even make the final roster cuts.
