Thread: Vikings sign DT Jimmy Kennedy

I really liked this guy as a nice prospect coming out.
He's a guy who is a space eater that doesn't want to be a space eater.
He loves to play from the edge but doesn't have the speed/skills to do it at the NFL level.

Truth be told, I didin't even realize he was available.

Lets hope he gets his head on stratght this time around and adjusts to playing DT (inside) with this team.

I can't wait to see what he can do. I remember him being hyped at the draft.

At 6'4" / 320 he should be able to clog things up in the middle . Give him a few stunts to the outside to keep him happy- could work out ok.

I can't wait to see what he can do. I remember him being hyped at the draft.

I actually only get to listen to them about 30 minutes a day (drive time to work).
Wish I could listen to them on my work puter but just can't seem to figure out how to get around the firewall issue.

As to Jimmy K....He likes to get after the QB from the edge.
I don't think he was/is comfortable eating up space in the middle (ala Phat Pat).

He ate his way out of a job in St. Louis, which is pretty remarkable.
I doubt he's going to prove to be anything more than what he's shown in the NFL so far, especially if he's been getting slower and fatter on the couch lately, BUT...with Kevin and Pat to provide some guidance, he might be able to flourish.

I wanna see that kid from FSU.
He's very Kennedyesque, from my understanding.
A lot of upside and talent but the potential to be a lazy fat-body.

We are really underrating Pat Williams on this board.
He's a beast of a player.
Not only does he stuff the middle but he also chases down running backs on the edge, is smart enough to bat down passes, and occasionally he gets pressure.
Do we remember what happened to us in preseason when Pat Williams wasn't out there?? Did anyone watch last weeks game?
Pat Williams was the best interior lineman last week...

We can hope all we want but that wont make him play like a probowler.

I like the kid , I was just googling Douzable the kid from Pre - Season , and it said he is on the Giants active roster.
