Excellent signing. Very much like Antoine Winfield, except for the pedigree. A young, steadily improving player who is a bulldog on run D and has his nose into a lot of plays. Playing the slot might be the best for him, but wouldn't be surprised to see him play outside when there are only two corners on the field. Depends on the matchup, as he is short.

Dude has returned his last four picks to the house. That's far better than ol' Chris Cook ever did! A very nice upgrade to our secondary. Still think they could look at drafting a CB very early.

Munnerlyn is a lot like Winfield. Captain gets his nose on the ball and makes plays.

He is not too big, and his best position is playing nickelback. He may not match up well with the tall receivers in the NFCN, but he covers well.

Is $5 million a season too much to pay for a nickelback? Will Munnerlyn be forced to play outside if Robinson and Cox falter?

I thought I had heard he would effectively be the #2, play outside in 2 wr sets, but nickel in 3 wr, with Robinson(?) taking the outside since he didn't thrive as a nickel back. One more solid corner sure would be nice though.

All this aside, isn't it awesome the team is making decisions that everyone can at least understand?

I'm starting to think we might not have to deal with another "Freeman signing" sot of decision that leaves us all scratching our heads. That, my friends, is a wonderful thing!
