This assumes a FO that can make that kind of move while securing a talented player in return....ours has not demonstrated that ability.

We have not shown the ability to hit on later round guys and we need great players on the team, this again is a top-heavy draft with great players for us in the top (Kalil, Blackmon, Claiborne, Kirkpatrick) and we don't need to be cute, just take the best player availible.

It would make sense to trade down and get some more picks...but I wouldn't trust these clowns to make the right moves. Take the sure thing, best OL, CB, DL available or the best player available. At this point, we have so many needs, we could definately help ourselves here.

I agree with his reasoning. Kalil is the perfect pick if we can get him in the top 4 but if he is not there then I would consider trading back.
This team needs to draft BPA. They also need to stay FAR AWAY from anyone with character concerns no matter how much potential they may have. We are in this shitty position in large part due to guys like Cook and McKinnie.

Everything hinges on what they do to the front office prior to the draft. If they get a real GM then they could go either way. If they stick with the current front office then they better pick where they slot in because they have a terrible record of trading picks and having it work out.

Draft a quaterback..trade Allen and Petersen...rebuild...
We won"t win anything in the remainder of Petersen and Allens time at the top of their professions. Not with Ponder .........None
