The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission wants a climate-controlled stadium with a retractable roof that could be used year-round for events that would include concerts, an NCAA basketball Final Four and possibly a Super Bowl. The projected cost of such a stadium would approach $1 billion.
They should have passed it last year when the cost was half of that.

The Vikings will probably play at the University of Minnesota's new stadium after the Twins' 2009 season, when the Metrodome is likely to be razed.
They are acting like this is almost a done deal. I wouldn't count my chickens just yet.

How long did the poop birds play in Husky Stadium until their new stadium was built?

Hopefully, part of the revitalization is the tearing down of those crack house towers that are over near the Holiday Inn Metrodome!
