At least we both are still tracking the draft.

The last two big re-signed players for the Vikings were defensive ends. Now the Vikings have selected two edge rushers. Perhaps Anthony Barr will develop as a linebacker.

I think our new coach is making a statement… Our defense is going to terrorize your QB.

    I like this pick…a lot.

The DL rotation is obviously a huge focus for Zimmer's defense. I mean we had Robison and Floyd, kept Griffen and Evens and then added Wooten, Joseph and Johnson...before the draft! Now we add another Griffen type player (similar size and strength) in Crichton and a pass rush specialist in Barr. Pretty sure this means Barr is going to be more OLB than DL...doesn't it?

I mean I like the value of Crichton here, but we still need a LG and probably a CB and...

I am really trying to stay positive but these too picks in the 3rd are head scratchers. Why are you stockpiling D line help. There is rotation and there is log jam. We now have a log jam at the position.

Where are the guards, WR, CB, help?

Just like you were saying about our young LBs, Zimmer may think Josh Robinson can be coached up to play outside effectively when Cap'n moves inside. Or that Prater and/or Cox may step up their games with better coaching and/or a better scheme fit.

Also, while adding another WR with a high ceiling is very tempting, we do have some depth there with Simpson and Wright battling for no.3 and Thielen, Smith and a couple of other guys battling for 5th.

Left Guard is the one spot where I'd really like to see some serious competition brought in...but, guys like Yankey, Cyril Richardson and Dozier are still available, and we do have last year's developmental guy, Baca, as well.

Obviously, that DL rotation is very important in Zimmer's opinion, and it is hard to argue that when you consider our division's QBs...
