Vikings secondary desperate for interceptions
http://blogs.twincities.com/vikings/2011/12/14/vikings-secondary-making-history-for-wrong-reason/
The Vikings have gone eight consecutive games without a pick, which ties an NFL record, according to research by Jeremy Mills of ESPN Stats and Information.Since the 1970 merger, no team has gone more than eight consecutive games without an interception, according to Mills. The 1996 Falcons and 2009 Rams tied the mark.

Woot! New record holder .... oh wait ...
BTW we also have the 3rd worst completion % against 69.1% ('11 Colts 71.4% and '07 Lions 70.1%)and 2nd worst passer rating against 110.8 ('08 Lions 110.9) since 1960 (1453 teams).

Our secondary can't pick their noses, let alone catch a ball. The whole thing is a disaster. Yikes.

Yeah, there is enough talent there to win a SB if they only had a DT.

You know it's bad, extremely bad when you're #2 or #3 out of 1453 past teams. We're talking all time worst here lol. The sacks are above average (3rd), the run D is above average (10th), so one would think that pretty much narrows down the problem. The sad thing is JA would have that sack record if our secondary could cover at all.

The Vikings secondary is just desperate for players. IMO we need to spend some money and draft picks for a secondary. If we don't any team with a QB that passes the ball will eat us alive. There is no chance we can beat a Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Rodgers, etc etc. We could allow 0 yards rushing and still lose games to these guys. The NFL is for the most part a passing game anymore. If you can't defend against it you are a losing team no matter how good other parts of your game may be.

The outdated cover/tampa 2 is more of the problem. Yes our DBs are bad, but running the outdated defense (thanks Fraizer) hasnt helped.
