Vikings Room Progress
I mentioned earlier tonight that I would try to bring some updated pics of how the Vikings room in the basement is coming along.
I welcome any feedback or advice you might as well.

View coming in the door towards the rear of the room.
Note that even though the flash makes the Vikings purple paint from Home Depot appear very blue, it matches the helmet on the comforter over the couch exactly.

A few of the pics going up on the defensive wall.
Studwell, and Page.

Ditto, Blair, and Greenway.

Larger (11x17) photo from Super Bowl against the Cheifs probably will go somewhere above the TV on the wall.

The centerpiece, my new 65" Mitsubishi.

In case you didnt notice in the last pic, the Randall Cunningham autographed mini-helmet sitting on top of the TV bezel for the time being.

Sporting the new Peterson jersey.
Now here is one place where you can help me.
It looks like I have room for one more picture on the defensive wall.
Which one do I frame and put up....

Any comments or questions about anything?

Wow. I hope I can have a bitchin vikes rec room like that someday.
I think the paint looks good. Legit. The jerseys sometimes look blue like that too.
The gold doesn't look that orange either. I'd buy the paint judging on those pics alone.

Re: Vikings Room Progress
It do look really great.
I vote for Browner on that wall.
What are the future of it, are there plans for making it even greater? Is there also an offensive wall?
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I am going with Hilgenberg for the picture, for the reason you can really make him out.
The Browner one he is a little tougher to see, and it looks like he is getting blocked.
Great room by the way

Personally, I'd find a way to put both Wally & Joey up. Another option is those larger frames that hold more than 1 picture. I've seen them for 4 to 6 - 5"x7" & I would think they'd make them for 8"x10" also.
Another cool idea would be one of those new electronic picure frame screens that play slideshows of your pictures.

Yes the opposite purple wall is the offense's wall (my wife probably thinks it is offensive, but I will refrain from using that word to describe it). What are the future of it, are there plans for making it even greater? Is there also an offensive wall?
I will post pics of that when I get further along.
Those pics are all framed and just stacked up in one spot waiting my getting motivated.
Also I have been holding off a little in case I change my overall strategy.
As I mentioned I am still hoping to get one or two more big pieces for the wall behind the TV.
I think I am pretty much set with the Offense and Defense concept on the main walls so I am moving forward with that.
As I mentioned a while back I may look at getting a beer light or maybe even a Vikings themed beer light for somewhere on the wall.

I lean towards Browner, because he was one of my favorites when I was watching the Vikes years ago, and I dont know Wally as much due to when he played.
But you gotta love the pose and look on Wally's face in that pic.
That is one of the things I love about it.
Also that the old color quality has a historical feel to the picture and that adds to the ambience of the room.
By the way the budget doesnt have an electronic picture frame in it.
Unless someone wants to donate a jumbo scoreboard that I can mount on one wall that will display pictures on the screen.
Now that is an idea.
You know my cousin is a big hitter at Daktronics, maybe I will call in some favors.
Hmm...... Thats a good idea.
