Vikings' return man
Who should return punts and/or kickoffs for the Vikings
(last updated oktober 2009)
These are current Vikings players that most people would consider an option fielding kicks and/or punts:
WR Darius Reynaud - Backup WR. Looks like a halfback, plays aggresisvely, and is a shifty runner.
WR Percy Harvin - Versatile starter on offense. Two words: speed kills. And you won't find a much faster player than Harvin.
WR Jaymar Johnson - Backup WR. Johnson has great speed.
WR Bernard Berrian - Our number one receiver. Known for his threath on deep balls.
RB Chester Taylor - The best backup running back in the league. We all have seen the way he runs with the ball.
CB Charles Gordon - Was the Vikings' primary punt returner and nickel back befor he got injured in 2008. Gordon also returned punts in college.
SS Tyrell Johnson - Starting safety. Returned kicks in college, but I've never seen him field a kick in the NFL.
Personally, I think WR Darius Reynaud is our best punt returner. He has shown that many times.
On kickoffs, both Percy Harvin and Darius Reynaud has made a number of very impressive runs.
Who can forget Reynaud's preseason kick return where he leaped over three players, or Harvin's 101-yard kick return in week 3 against the 49ers.

Dude..... ;D, we beat that to death so many times.Who should return punts and/or kick offs for us next year?
Personally, I think A. Allison is our best kick off returner and M. Moore is our best punt returner.
Then why the hell has Bobby Wady been the return man for us lately?
???
Btw, is T. Williamson a good kick returner?
B-wade was there as a return man when we had injuries to key players that forced the staff to carry different players on the game day roster.
By the way, you do know Memo is a FA and probably won't be back next year right? Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

With both Purple Jesus and Chester Taylor healthy, the need for Mewelde Moore to be active as only a PR was minimal.Who should return punts and/or kick offs for us next year?

So, he was deactivated in favor of Bobby Wade returning punts, since he had another role as a WR in the KAO.
=Z=
Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: Vikings' return man
Allison should be returning kicks again, but we need to find someone else to return punts.
Bobby Wade had a bad tendency of waving punts he should have caught, causing us to be pinned deep in the red zone.
I'm sure if we draft a quick runningback or reciever, they will get a look at running back punts and kicks as well.
