    Transition year my friend.

With McNabb coming, the FO obviously wants to at least make an effort to amek the playoffs. THey want to win. Whether they think they can make the playoffs, or just spoil someone else's trip is another story.

I however do not think we'll be going 12-4 or anything like that. Too many holes and questions going into the season.

But back on topic, Kelly Gregg got released from Baltimore. 6'0", 320lbs Might be a decent option if Pat doesn't return. He's 34, but has only missed one season due to injury, and a couple games throughout his career.

Transition to what? Are you saying teams are in a "Win Now" mode and then go into a "Transition Mode"?

Bet that helps with ticket sales.

As to Greg, see my chat comments. As I suspected, I'd rather keep Phat Pat at this point than another old 3-4 NT that really hasn't much left in the tank.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Teams do it all the time.

But us specifically, new HC, new QB, new direction. We're not doing a full-blown rebuilding, but we're not at the top of our game yet either. We'll have a year or two where there will be struggles, it's inevitable.
We'll be seeing some vets go, and try to go with youth. I bet the roster in three years will be quite different. Not as different as the Tice to Chilly transition. It's unfortunate, but we are simply not a powerhouse football team right now.

    Exactly.

You were bent out of shape over the past 2 seasons and now you want more of the same? Not me.

I can't say it enough, I still believe we have a damn good team. This team doesn't need one guy to win. It just needs to get on the field healthy (after the FO pukes fix a few issues DT/WR/LB) and we will be just as competitive as we were in 09 and even moreso than we were in 10.
We have some solid players sprinkled with rabbit turds in between and no depth to the roster if one of the key players goes down. This is not a highly talented team across the board and the rest of the division has improved over the time when the Vikings could win the division behind gus F and TJ playing mop up. What we had in the past won't cut it any more in this division and we ain't as good as we once was.

Not sure why all of you are so set on we are "Rebuilding"/"Going to suck" mode.
    Reality.
